Tournament Recap: Nostalgic Pokemon TCG League Challenge

Thank you to everyone who joined us on January 25, 2026, for our latest League Challenge. It was a fantastic afternoon of competitive play, featuring intense matches and a great display of sportsmanship within our local community.

Every participant walked away with a prize pack for competing. However, special congratulations are in order for our top finishers:

  • 1st Place: Henrik Mogensen secured the top spot, taking home 3 prize packs and the coveted Pikachu World Championships Promo Card.
  • 2nd Place: Matthew Sleimann finished strong in second, earning an additional 2 prize packs for his performance.

Mastery of the Force: Star Wars: Unlimited Store Showdown Recap

Star Wars: Unlimited Secrets of Power

On Saturday, January 17th, at 1:00 PM, the store was filled with the sounds of shifting cards and tactical maneuvers as we hosted the Nostalgic – Star Wars: Unlimited – Store Showdown – Secrets of Power.

With 17 players contending for the title of Champion, the atmosphere was focused and competitive. The tournament consisted of five Swiss rounds, testing the endurance and deck-building prowess of every leader in the room.

Reward Distribution

We want to ensure every participant feels the power of the Force. Every player who entered received:

  • A Secrets of Power Booster Pack.
  • An exclusive participation promo.
  • Various additional weekly exclusive boosters.

For those who climbed to the top of the standings, the rewards were even greater. Performance-based boosters were awarded, alongside the prestigious Top 8, Top 4, and Finalist promos. A special congratulations goes out to our Champion, who took home the exclusive Champion Promo.

Record-Breaking Attendance at the Lorwyn Eclipsed Prerelease

Magic: The Gathering Lorwyn Eclipsed

Last Friday, January 16th, marked a significant milestone for our community. We hosted our largest single prerelease to date, with 33 players joining us for the Lorwyn Eclipsed event. The energy in the room was high as participants battled through a mammoth six Swiss rounds of play.

This event served as an excellent stress test for the store’s infrastructure, from our booking systems to general event organization. We appreciate everyone’s patience and participation as we continue to refine the experience. Moving forward, we are committed to using the lessons learned from this large-scale turnout to improve the tournament experience for every player.

Upcoming Events

If you missed out on the Friday action or want another chance to explore the new set, we have two exciting opportunities coming up:

  • Final Prerelease: Thursday, January 22nd at 5:00 PM. This is expected to be a smaller, more relaxed event-perfect for those looking to enjoy the set in a low-pressured attended environment.
  • Weekly Booster Drafts: Starting next Friday, we will host weekly drafts every Friday. These events will feature a season-long points system. By participating throughout the Lorwyn season, you can accumulate points to earn special prizes on top of the standard participation and performance rewards.
  • Casual Play: As always, if our paid limited events don’t tickle your fancy you are always welcome to attend and use our tables. Throughout Friday’s and Saturday’s Magic players are always in attendance looking for others to play with.
