The Final Stand Against the Vines! Attack of the Vine! Wednesday Recap

What an incredible conclusion to our prerelease season! On Wednesday, July 22nd, Illumineers gathered once again at Nostalgic (Butikstorvet 14C, Billund) for our final Attack of the Vine! event before tomorrow’s official set launch.

The room was packed with familiar faces and new contenders alike, all eager to crack open their 6 booster packs, construct wild multi-ink strategies, and clear out the invading vineling monsters one last time!

The games were intensely competitive, the deck-building was wildly creative, and after 5 exciting Swiss rounds, we crowned our final prerelease champion!

Shadows, Vines, and Glimmers: Recapping Our First “Attack of the Vine!” Prerelease!

The thorny, invasive terrors of Attack of the Vine! sprouted early at Nostalgic last night, and you all showed up in force! On Friday, July 17th, a massive 30 eager Illumineers gathered at Butikstorvet 14C in Billund to get their first hands-on experience with the brand-new Disney Lorcana expansion.

This officially marks our biggest Lorcana event to date! Thank you to our incredible local community for blowing past our previous attendance records and making this an unforgettable night.

With 6 brand-new packs in hand, players jumped straight into deck construction. The unique prerelease format allowed everyone to ignore the standard ink restrictions, leading to some wild, creative, and terrifying multi-ink combinations to fight off the looming vineling monsters.

The atmosphere was electric, the matches were incredibly tight, and after 5 hard-fought Swiss rounds, we crowned our undefeated champion!

Shadows, Lightning, and Local Legends: Pitch Black Prerelease #2 Recap!

The sun might have been bright outside, but inside Nostalgic, the shadows fully took over last Sunday, July 12th!

We hosted our second highly anticipated Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution — Pitch Black Prerelease event, and the energy was absolutely electric. With Mega Darkrai ex casting its dark illusions and Mega Zeraora ex striking back with thunderous lightning, 24 trainers stepped up to the challenge to see who could conquer the pitch-black darkness.

Every trainer cracked open their Build & Battle Boxes, scrambled to build the ultimate 40-card deck in 30 minutes, and fought through three rounds of fast-paced, 4-Prize card action.

The Undefeated Champions 🏆

Out of a fierce field of 24 players, only three managed to navigate the shadows completely unscathed, emerging with perfect 3-0-0 records. A massive congratulations to our top three duelists of the day:

Beyond the top spots, we saw some incredible deck-building creativity, clutch top-decks, and—above all—fantastic sportsmanship from everyone involved. Plus, as a fantastic bonus for supporting official local play, everyone who signed in with their Play! ID received a free prize pack to take home, along with their 3 participation booster packs!

Tournament Recap: The Shadows Deepened at Our First ‘Pitch Black’ Prerelease!

The long-awaited darkness has officially arrived in Billund! Yesterday, Sunday, July 5th, 32 eager Trainers gathered right here at Nostalgic to get their hands on the brand-new Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution — Pitch Black expansion.

The energy in the room was electric as players cracked open their Build & Battle boxes to discover which Mega Evolutions would anchor their strategies. Between the eerie allure of Mega Darkrai ex and the lightning-fast power of Mega Zeraora ex, the tournament saw some incredible rogue decks and clutch tactical plays over three tense Swiss rounds.
