Pokémon TCG Worlds Celebration 2026: A Weekend of Fierce Competition

2026 Worlds Celebration Tournament

The energy was electric at Nostalgic this past Sunday as Pokémon Trainers from across the region gathered for our Nostalgic TCG Worlds Celebration! With 100 DKK on the line and a host of exclusive prizes up for grabs, competitors across three age divisions brought their best decks and sharpest strategies.

The day kicked off early, with registration opening at 09:30 before the first round commenced at 10:00. To ensure a smooth and action-packed day, we utilized a time-optimized format. The Swiss Rounds were contested in a Best-of-1 format with a 30-minute time limit, keeping the pressure high and the matches fast-paced. As we moved into the Top Cut, the tension mounted with Best-of-3 matches and a generous 75-minute limit, allowing the true masters of the game to shine.

Every competitor who participated walked away a winner, receiving a fantastic participation bundle:

  • 1x Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Pitch Black Booster Pack
  • 1x Free Play! Pokémon Prize Pack

Shadows, Lightning, and Local Legends: Pitch Black Prerelease #2 Recap!

Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution – Pitch Black

The sun might have been bright outside, but inside Nostalgic, the shadows fully took over last Sunday, July 12th!

We hosted our second highly anticipated Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution — Pitch Black Prerelease event, and the energy was absolutely electric. With Mega Darkrai ex casting its dark illusions and Mega Zeraora ex striking back with thunderous lightning, 24 trainers stepped up to the challenge to see who could conquer the pitch-black darkness.

Every trainer cracked open their Build & Battle Boxes, scrambled to build the ultimate 40-card deck in 30 minutes, and fought through three rounds of fast-paced, 4-Prize card action.

The Undefeated Champions 🏆

Out of a fierce field of 24 players, only three managed to navigate the shadows completely unscathed, emerging with perfect 3-0-0 records. A massive congratulations to our top three duelists of the day:

  • Jonas Nordborg (1st Place)
  • Freja Nicolajsen (2nd Place)
  • Thomas Holm (3rd Place)

Beyond the top spots, we saw some incredible deck-building creativity, clutch top-decks, and—above all—fantastic sportsmanship from everyone involved. Plus, as a fantastic bonus for supporting official local play, everyone who signed in with their Play! ID received a free prize pack to take home, along with their 3 participation booster packs!

Tournament Recap: The Shadows Deepened at Our First ‘Pitch Black’ Prerelease!

Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution – Pitch Black

The long-awaited darkness has officially arrived in Billund! Yesterday, Sunday, July 5th, 32 eager Trainers gathered right here at Nostalgic to get their hands on the brand-new Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution — Pitch Black expansion.

The energy in the room was electric as players cracked open their Build & Battle boxes to discover which Mega Evolutions would anchor their strategies. Between the eerie allure of Mega Darkrai ex and the lightning-fast power of Mega Zeraora ex, the tournament saw some incredible rogue decks and clutch tactical plays over three tense Swiss rounds.

Competition was incredibly tight, but three Trainers managed to navigate the shadows perfectly, walking away with a flawless 3-0 record. Huge congratulations to our top finishers who earned extra prize packs for their stellar performance!

What an incredible day of Standard Pokémon TCG action! On June 28, 2026, players gathered at Nostalgic for five intense rounds of Swiss. With no top cut, every single player got to battle it out until the very last match, making for an unforgettable day of high-stakes strategy, clutch top-decks, and brilliant plays.

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to play, trade, and celebrate the mid-year mark with our community!

Entry & Prizing Structure

The stakes were high, with players competing for a massive pool of packs and rare seasonal items:

  • Entry Fee: 50 DKK
  • Participation Prizes: Every single player walked away with 1 Booster Pack + 1 Prize Pack just for playing!
  • Top Finishers: Received additional scaled prize packs based on our total player attendance.
