Victory and Valor: Nostalgic Pokémon TCG League Challenge Recap

The road to the World Championships heated up this past weekend at the Nostalgic Pokémon TCG League Challenge. On April 26, local Trainers gathered to battle for Championship Points, prestige, and—of course—those sweet, sweet Prize Packs.

The Leaderboard: Peter Haagen Sweeps the Field

It was a masterclass in strategy from Peter Haagen, who finished the day with a flawless 3-0-0 record. While Peter took a comfortable lead, the race for the remaining podium spots was a tie-breaker nail-biter. Lone Overgaard secured second place thanks to a formidable Opponents’ Win Percentage, narrowly edging out Chris Hilleborg.

Beyond the competitive standings, it was a big day for collectors. Every participant walked away with Play! Pokémon Prize Packs, and the Top 3 players expanded their collections even further with additional winning packs.

As a special tournament bonus, players were allowed to snag an Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle for just 299 DKK—a perfect way to hunt for those elusive secret rares and meta-relevant pulls.

Wizards & Wonders: Strixhaven Booster Draft Recap

After a whirlwind week of packed-out Prerelease events, things took a more intimate turn this past Friday at 5:00 PM. While the hall was a little quieter than the “standing room only” vibes of earlier in the week, the competition for the Secrets of Strixhaven Booster Draft was no less fierce.

Drafting is the ultimate test of a mage’s intuition, and with two full-capacity Prereleases already under our belts, the meta for the new set is starting to take shape.

Our Top 2 finishers didn’t just earn bragging rights—they walked away with a haul of Promo Packs, Foil Promo Packs, and Play Boosters. A huge congratulations to Glen Poulsen, who navigated the pod with a perfect 3-0 record to take the top spot!

Event Recap: ONE PIECE Card Game Store Championship (Season 1)

History was made this past Sunday at Nostalgic! We were incredibly honored to be the only store in Denmark hand-selected by Bandai to host the CS26-27 Store Championship for Europe. The energy was electric as Pirates from across the region gathered to battle for those elusive Regional invites.

⚓ The Spoils of War

Every pirate who entered the fray for the 100 DKK entry fee walked away with a heavy chest of loot, including:

2x OP15 Booster Packs

As the tournament progressed and the competition narrowed, the rewards grew legendary:

Recapping Our Biggest Prerelease Ever: Secrets of Strixhaven!

The doors to the academy officially opened this past Friday, April 17, and the turnout was nothing short of legendary. We saw a record-breaking 48 participants pack the store, with every seat filled and a high energy that lasted through 7+ hours of Magic.

It was incredible to see everyone locked in and ready to represent their chosen colleges. Unfortunately, demand was so high that we had to turn people away due to table space—a clear sign that the local Magic community is growing faster and stronger than ever!

The Strixhaven Experience

Each student selected their specific college prerelease kit, diving into the arcane secrets of the set across 6 intense Swiss rounds.

The Format: Sealed Deck (40-card minimum).
The Loot: Players opened 5 Play Boosters plus a college-aligned seeded booster featuring a Rare or Mythic Rare from their specific school.
The Rewards: Every participant walked away with an additional participation booster, while our Top 12 finishers earned extra prize packs for their mastery of the craft.
