Epic Battles & Big Prizes: Recap of the Malmö Game Week Bye Qualifier

It was a fantastic day filled with intense matches, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-tier Disney Lorcana gameplay! On Saturday, August 15th, Nostalgic in Billund hosted one of this summer’s biggest local Lorcana tournaments.

With 27 Illumineers battling it out across 60-minute Best-of-3 Swiss rounds and an intense 70-minute Top 8 cut, the stakes were high. Players were competing not just for an incredible prize pool of Set 6–8 goodies, but for the highly coveted Round 1 Bye at the upcoming Malmö Game Week.

Here is a look back at the results and who walked away victorious!

The Grand Champion

A massive congratulations to Pierre Christensen (MakavelliHs) for an absolutely dominant, undefeated run! Finishing with 22 points and a 7-0-1 record, Pierre secured 1st place and took home the Grand Prize: a full Sealed Case (4 Displays), 16 Attack of the Vine! Booster Packs and the Round 1 Bye for Malmö Game Week.

Bonus Prizes & Raffles

The Top 8 weren’t the only ones walking away with great loot! Thanks to the incredible turnout, we were able to distribute a wealth of extra prizes:

Best Under-18 Player: Walked away with a full Booster Box and a brand-new Playmat!
Lucky Raffles: Players outside the top cut were entered into a massive raffle where we gave away 4 Troves, 5 Gift Sets, and 3 Playmats. Plus, every single participant received at least 1 booster pack just for playing!

A huge thank you to everyone who traveled to Nostalgic in Billund to play. As a reminder: Everyone is still welcome to participate in Malmö Game Week! While Pierre earned the Round 1 Bye (which may be passed down), the main event is open to all.

A Journey to Middle-earth: The Hobbit Booster Draft Results

his past Friday, August 14, 2026, nine brave adventurers gathered around the tables for an epic draft into the realm of Middle-earth. The Hobbit Booster Draft brought out some fantastic decks, tight matches, and a whole lot of great pulls. Best of all, participants didn’t just walk away with the thrill of the game—everyone got to keep all of their drafted cards!

Congratulations to Glen Poulsen for navigating the pod undefeated and securing a well-earned first-place finish with a 3/0/1 record. Malthe Espesen followed closely in second place after some fiercely contested games.

Beyond the competitive rewards, we also threw in a little extra luck of the draw. A highly sought-after Hobbit Box Topper was randomly given away to one lucky participant at the end of the event!

Return to Middle-earth: The Hobbit Prerelease Weekend Recap!

Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit Prerelease

Over the weekend of August 7th and 8th, players gathered at Nostalgic in Billund to embark on an epic quest. From the quiet lanes of The Shire to the fiery depths beneath The Lonely Mountain, our local community stepped up to battle for the treasures of Erebor in Magic: The Gathering’s newest expansion, The Hobbit!

With prerelease packs opened, spin-down dice rolling, and 40-card Sealed decks forged, the atmosphere across both sessions was packed with fierce competition and great sportsmanship.

🏆 Weekend Highlight: The Ultimate Double Victory!

A special crown goes to Kristoffer Jensen, who pulled off a remarkable back-to-back victory!

After battling through a massive 37-player field on Friday night to capture 1st place, Kristoffer returned on Saturday and ran through the competition undefeated (4-0) with a flawless 100% Game Win Rate! Massive congratulations to Kristoffer for taking down both events in historic fashion!

Event Recap: Nostalgic’s First-Ever Riftbound: Vendetta Pre-Rift Event!

Riftbound: League of Legends TCG Vendetta Pre-Rift

What an incredible Saturday at Nostalgic in Billund! On July 25th, 16 passionate card gamers gathered at our store at Butikstorvet 14C for a major milestone: our first-ever Riftbound: League of Legends TCG event!

The hype surrounding the Vendetta — Pre-Rift set was electric, and with a sold-out 16-player cap, the atmosphere in the shop was buzzing from start to finish.

Unboxing & Deck Building

Every player received an official Pre-Rift Player Kit, packed with:

1 Mini Pre-Constructed Deck (15 cards featuring a Champion Legend & Champion Unit)
5 Vendetta Booster Packs
1 Exclusive Pre-Rift Promo Card

Players had 50 minutes to open their packs, evaluate their pulls, and assemble a 50-card deck to pilot through the tournament. The Pre-Rift format put everyone on equal footing, making for a fun, accessible, and strategic deck-building session for new and veteran TCG players alike.

The Battles & Prizes

The tournament spanned 4 Swiss rounds of fast-paced, Best-of-1 matches (30 minutes each).

Every participant received a guaranteed Riftbound participation booster pack at the end of the event, with the top 8 players earning an additional booster pack for their strong performance.

The Final Stand Against the Vines! Attack of the Vine! Wednesday Recap

What an incredible conclusion to our prerelease season! On Wednesday, July 22nd, Illumineers gathered once again at Nostalgic (Butikstorvet 14C, Billund) for our final Attack of the Vine! event before tomorrow’s official set launch.

The room was packed with familiar faces and new contenders alike, all eager to crack open their 6 booster packs, construct wild multi-ink strategies, and clear out the invading vineling monsters one last time!

The games were intensely competitive, the deck-building was wildly creative, and after 5 exciting Swiss rounds, we crowned our final prerelease champion!
