What a weekend of Magic: The Gathering at Nostalgic!
On Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September 2026, players joined us in Billund for the prerelease of Magic: The Gathering – Reality Fracture, getting their first opportunity to open the new set, build Sealed decks and battle it out before the set’s full release.
Across the two prerelease events, we welcomed 48 player entries, with 28 players joining us on Friday evening and another 20 taking part on Saturday.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, whether you are one of our regular Friday Night Magic players, travelled to Billund for the event, or were visiting Nostalgic for the first time.
Friday Prerelease – 28 Players
Friday evening saw 28 players compete across five rounds of Swiss.
Players had 50 minutes to construct a minimum 40-card Sealed deck from their Reality Fracture Prerelease materials before competing in 50-minute Best-of-3 rounds.
After five rounds, Kenneth Jensen finished the evening undefeated with a perfect 5–0 record and 15 match points.
Congratulations to Kenneth on an undefeated run and to everyone who battled through all five rounds.

Saturday Prerelease – 20 Players
We were back again on Saturday afternoon for our second Reality Fracture Prerelease, with 20 players taking part in another five-round event.
This time the battle for first place went right to the tiebreakers.
Both Thomas E and Daniel Aalbæk finished undefeated on 13 match points with 4–0–1 records, with Thomas taking first place on tiebreakers.
Jens Kristian Lassen followed closely behind with 12 points and a 4–1 record, while Glen Poulsen rounded out the Top 4 on 10 points.
Congratulations to Thomas on taking the top spot and to both Thomas and Daniel for making it through all five rounds without a match loss.

Two Days of Reality Fracture
Prerelease weekends are some of our favourite Magic events at Nostalgic.
Unlike an established Constructed format, everyone enters a Prerelease discovering the new cards, mechanics and interactions together. Players open their packs, work out what their card pool can do and then try to turn it into the best 40-card deck possible.
That creates exactly the kind of atmosphere we want from a Prerelease: competitive games at the top tables, plenty of experimentation, strange new card interactions and players helping each other discover the new set.
It was also great to see several players return for both sessions and take a completely new card pool into Saturday’s tournament.
