Book your ticket now to guarantee a prerelease kit and entry. Once Prerelease kits are sold out as per Wizards Play Network (WPN) rules, retailers may use six Play Boosters as a fallback entry option. Persons are welcome to still turn up without a booking and participate this way; however, in the event of full capacity, players without a booking may be turned away.

What’s Included

Prerelease is your first opportunity to get your hands on the newest release and explore what the set has to offer. Every participant receives The Hobbit Prerelease Pack, which contains everything you need to begin facing off in epic one-on-one matches:

• 6 Magic: The Gathering® | The Hobbit™ Play Boosters. Each Play Booster contains 14 Magic: The Gathering cards (HOB 1–248) and includes:
  • 1–3 cards of rarity Rare or higher
  • 3–5 Uncommon
  • 7–9 Common
  • 1 land card (Traditional foil land replaces a land in 20% of boosters)
  • 1 card of any rarity is traditional foil
• 1 traditional foil rare/mythic rare card.
• 1 Spindown life counter.
• Bonus Prizes: Every participant will receive 1 additional Play Booster as a participation prize upon completing the event. Additionally, 1 Play Booster per player will be added to the prize pool for top finishers. (The exact prize breakdown and finishing positions will be announced before Round 1.)

Tournament Format

• Deck Construction: 50 minutes. Build a 40-card Sealed deck using your Prerelease Pack contents and play with the set for the first time in a casual and fun environment.
• Swiss Rounds: 50 minutes per round (Best of 3)

Important Information

• Registration: Please ensure you download the official Magic: The Gathering Companion App to participate.
• Delivery: Please select In-store Pickup at checkout. No physical product will be shipped; materials are provided at the start of the event.
• Policy: Tickets are non-refundable but are fully transferable to another player if you are unable to attend.
• Attendance & Punctuality: Please purchase a ticket only if you can participate for the full duration of the prerelease event. Arriving late may result in your space being given to someone else. Leaving early or not turning up reduces the experience for other players.
